Freak Accident Fridays – Warning! May Contain Graphic Content

Yes, I am 13 minutes shy of Friday but still… I did not forget. Especially since I have some good ones tonight and… The trees of course have been at it again. Honestly, I don’t recall so many tree attacks in the past but who knows? With the world on fire all around it is hard to find humor and to be light of heart but we still must try. Some of us maybe trying harder than others… like this poor couple right here from my home state. Who knew that transporting a grill could be so dangerous? Imagine yourself here, going down the road, possibly towards some great family gathering. You’re bringing the grill… Star of the show… You and the Missus are only a few miles away and then… She lights up a smoke. KABAM!! You, the Missus, the truck and the grill blown all to Hell. What a day. Luckily for all involved, everyone was okay.  Y’all got to read this one.

If that one gave you a chuckle, please make sure that you are not too close to the balcony. Not that it would matter too much. Unfortunately I would say that all freak accidents, like death, are generally uncontrollable or sometimes unavoidable all together. This lovely lady met an unfortunate fate but it does seem that she passed away in a very happy state of mind.

Now… This tree thing. Maybe it’s all the rain? I don’t know but I wouldn’t have noticed all this tree action if the stories didn’t make up half the freak accidents I read about. In fact, either the Daily M is feeding me material (which I doubt I’m that special) or the conglomeration of tree casualties is a freak accident all in itself. Granted the first two I have posted before. Before I realized that this seems to be a regular freak accidental occurrence like lightening or sinkholes. I had to put them all together here. Check out this list below of the accidents involving trees in just the last month:

That’s a total of 19 (13 were crushed in Portugal) people to 4 trees. Not all casualties either thank God. But I’d say the ratios are not good. The trees have us. I’ll keep a watch out. Who are these trees really? What do they want? Possibly the trees are seeking compensation for the quadrillions of rolls of toilet paper that we have used them and all those they hold dear for? I cannot say, but I will say to you this:

Be careful out there my friends… It’s a wild world out there and limbs are precious.
