All in the Name of Sales..

Wow! Check this out! Lose 10 lbs in one week!

Hey! Want to feel better? Try this cleansing treatment!

This is the healthiest way to go today… Be a better you tomorrow!

Be a better me? You don’t know me and for just $5.99 a week, you’ll never know me. Screw you for preying on my self-confidence or the lack there of. Please don’t do it to my family either. I love them, and would not appreciate us all being ditched because some jackass thought the “negative vibes” of trying to continue on can be replaced by their thinking process. Note most of these people do not have close families, ditch relationships at the first sign of trouble, have no firm foundations and are constantly saying things like “you must do what’s right for you” or “you must love yourself first”… “be a free spirit” is my personal favorite.

Really? We can all be “free spirits” on the weekend. After the bills are paid, the laundry is done, the groceries are in the cabinet and the house is clean. Oh.. yeah.. it’s really easy to clean these folks homes… there’s either no one ever there, or it’s not their home to begin with.

Why can’t we just be us? Why is it that every freaking time I turn on the internet or the TV there is someone trying to “fix” me? Or trying to help “fix” me?

They don’t give a damn about me… whether I feel better tomorrow or whether I lose 10 lbs in a week. They do care about that $19.99 they will get after they have made me think “yeah, I could lose 10 lbs” or “yeah, I do feel dirty from the inside out, better get that cleanse treatment”… I don’t need those thoughts and neither does anyone else.

There are plenty of things wrong with today. I definitely do not need someone pointing out all the many things that could be wrong with myself and others. Just so a profit can be made. Newsflash: This form of advertisement hurts people. People that thought they were a fine sort of human, people that thought their lifestyle was good, people that thought they looked good and were at the right weight for them. You make them question what little self-confidence they have been able to gain in life.

This form of advertisement gives people anxiety. Keeps people spending money on fad treatments and brings them down when those treatments don’t work.

The most interesting thing about this form of “nice criticism” (which has been perfected by most well meaning grandmothers btw) is that those who bring it are portraying themselves as these “light lovers”, “guru’s”, “loving their fellow man”, “just want to help” kind of people. They are not.

They are the same yoga instructors, “life helpers”, and dietitians who are charging you $100 a week while they prey on your life. If they really cared about you, the advice and “help” they give would be free since they are providing people with the same words of wisdom you can get from a friend, your mother, or preacher. For free.

For every person who claims to be able to weather personal storms without wanting to scream and punch something, I have this for you… You are either headed for a major heart attack, or your full of shit. Some product you “found!” on the internet or TV didn’t do it either.

For every person who claims to be totally “okay” with themselves, their life and are looking for all the good in the world… whatever. You cannot live this life without going the entire gammot of emotions. It’s not natural to try.

For that line “I know no one is perfect, including me”… the “I have imperfections just like you” line… No you don’t because if you did, you wouldn’t be advertising, selling and posting this crap all over the place. You wouldn’t be constantly be taking pictures of yourself and posting them all over the world. Nope. Only those who think they are are so great as to impose themselves on the Universe are doing that. With ads. For money. Because following schedules and having bosses is so hard.

For those claiming to be so strong… such warriors.. from their desk tops at home.. First, what war are you fighting in? This is life. This is the world. When you join the Sioux, the Kurds, or the Army.. come back at me with that because you seem to be only waging war on life itself. Something that should be absorbed and adapted to.

It’s okay to be fat. Lots of people are.

It’s okay to be angry with things. That’s a normal emotion you came with.

It’s okay to be weak. Your strength will come when you need it most.

It’s okay to be sad. Some shit is depressing as hell.

Word to all of you capitalists who are selling Pay per View, Infomercial products that “Really Work!” and yeah, “It is Crazy!” by inflicting unneeded anxiety on the unsuspecting and frazzled public…

You look awesome! But wouldn’t you feel better if you lost 10 lbs?

Wow! You just spoke some great things there… but you seem angry.. maybe this technique of mine can help..

Your gorgeous!… I was wondering? Would you like to be even more gorgeous? I have this thing I’ve been trying…

How’d that feel?

Peace.
