When I envision the future and possible future scenarios, of course none of them are very good.
I would love to imagine a world full of green trees and grass. Fields full of food that stretch out into infinity… Beautiful, clean, sandy beaches with clear blue waters… Humans that get along. Share. Trade. Help. Yeah.
Unfortunately though, this world is what it is and one would have to be totally incoherent to be able to get through it with that kind of positive thinking. Sure we can give peace a chance. On a desert island, by oneself.
Looking at the news this morning I thought about World War III.. It does look like it’s all spelled out there on the screen. I do wonder what I would do if I were a Syrian, Iraqi, or Yazidi right now. I have asked my family to try and imagine being in their place. I want them to imagine New York, LA or DC in shambles, empty and inaccessible. Destroyed. Running for our lives for no reason at all. Not running for your life to a neighbor’s house or the church. Running for your life across the globe, and joining others as you go along. All of us running for our lives eventually.
This is no “Zombie Apocalypse,” or crap from television. We will not hunker down like Dean Koontz and fight off everything that tries to get us. We will run for our lives with whatever we can grab.We will run from Mother Nature as the Earth splits open beneath our feet and strange soldiers in black run towards us amidst the chaos. We will leave our emergency canned goods piled up in the pantry, the safe rooms and a good portion of the arsenal in the basement. We will leave our photos, xboxes, games, computers and other pointless shit and we will run.
We will not know who our enemies are or who is chasing us. Why they are chasing us, and when all that is over if it ever ends again… When all that is over, we will then run for our freedoms, our religions, and our beliefs.
Do not encourage the wars of the evil. Do not jump on those bandwagons thinking that you must have a cause or a mission of your own. Do not insist that you alone must do something. Know your people around you as individuals. In the stores, libraries, schools and restaurants. Do not be blinded by your own resources and lastly… please do not want to perpetuate the violence in some subconsciousness that makes one want to see it all burn.
